Voter Registration

Residents may register to vote at the Municipal Clerk’s office or at the Superintendent of Election’s office in Mount Holly.

Any person may register to vote who is a citizen of the United States and

  • 18 years of age by election day
  • A resident of the state and county at least 30 days prior to the election.

Residents may register to vote at the Municipal Clerk’s office or visit the Superintendent of Elections website.

Deadlines for Registering 

  • You may register to vote at any time, but to be eligible to vote in a particular election, you must be registered 21 days prior to that election.
  • All registration done by mail must be postmarked by the 21st day preceding the election.

Residents are reminded to check the front of your sample ballot for your ward, district and polling location.

Vote By Mail

Vote by mail is now permitted for anyone interested. There are no longer any qualifications for voting by mail. You can also arrange to vote by mail for all general elections if you so desire.
