Town Hall – UPDATE

We had a great time with more than two dozen residents from all areas of Delran. Councilwoman Nikki Apeadu, Councilman Lynn Jeney, and I answered many questions from the residents. I want to thank Berk & Berk and the management of Hunters Glen for being such great hosts. Also, thank you to some of the Outreach staff from County Clerk Joanne Schwartz’s office for helping many of the residents that night.

We will post on social media and here on our website with the time and date of our next Town Hall meeting in 2024.

Attention Delran Residents: We hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving weekend!

We are pleased to announce that this Wednesday, Nov. 29th at 7pm; Mayor Gary Catrambone, Ward 1 Councilwoman Nikki Apeadu, and Councilman-at-Large Lynn Jeney will be at A Touch of Class Catering (located in Hunters Glen Apartments) to host our second informal Town Hall meeting. 

All Delran residents are invited to attend if they have questions about Ward 1 issues or other questions regarding Delran Township. 

Additionally, a representative from County Clerk Joanne Schwartz’s office will be available to assist anyone with questions regarding voter registration, Vote-by-Mail or other voting related questions. Hablamos Espanol!

Light refreshments will be provided. We look forward to seeing everyone! 

Note: This is not a Township Council meeting as there will not be a quorum. No minutes will be kept and no votes or decisions will be made at this meeting.

Winter Festival – Canceled

CANCELED – We regret to inform you that the Tree Lighting and Winter Festival is canceled. Rain is forecasted during the peak of the event. We have been monitoring the weather closely, but we have to decide now before vendors and employees mobilize and we incur unnecessary expenses. Moving the event indoors at the municipal building is also not possible due to the large crowd and building fire capacity. 

The event will not be rescheduled. While we would love to reschedule, it is challenging this time of year with limited vendor availability, limited personnel resources, and competing local holiday events.

We wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. We look forward to next year!

PSEG Construction

PSE&G is scheduled to continue Nighttime underground construction work to install a manhole system along portions of Hartford Road.

Week of: 11/13/2023 to 11/17/2023:

Work hours: 08:00p-5:00a

Work Zone: Hartford Rd. from Garwood Road to Summerhill Drive

Work hours will be from 8pm to 5am. This work is expected to take place through January:

Expect minimal delays once in the work zone to allow Contractors to provide safe access to the residence.

PSE&G is scheduled to begin Nighttime underground construction work to install a manhole system along portions of Hartford Road.

10-27-23 TRAFFIC ALERT – CHESTER AVENUE

Traffic Alert:   October 27, 2023

Emergency repair to a broken water line on Chester Avenue at Greenwood Avenue by NJ American Water. Traffic will be detoured seek alternate routes. Road closure will begin at approximately 4:00PM on October 27, 2023 for an unknown time frame.

Detour:

All Traffic coming from Rt.130 onto Chester Avenue will be detoured at Underwood Blvd back to Rt.130. Traffic coming from St. Mihiel Drive on Chester Avenue towards Route 130 will be detoured onto Washington Street then onto Fairview Street.

On or about Monday, October 23, 2023, PSE&G is scheduled to begin Nighttime
underground construction work to install a manhole system along portions of Hartford Road between the intersecting streets of;

Pear Tree Court, Millers Run, Summerhill Drive, Hidden Acres Lane, Grand Boulevard, Bridgeboro Road, and Ashley Drive.

Work hours will be from 8pm to 5am. This work is expected to take place through January:

Work Zone: Hartford Rd. from Pear Tree Court/Garwood Rd. to Millers Run.

3: No throughway will be allowed through the work zone in either direction for non-local traffic.
