Organized Sports to resume on 6/22/2020

As per Executive Order No. 149 issued by Governor Murphy organized sports may resume certain activities effective 6/22/2020

Those activities are as follows:

Low-risk sports (which include golf, track and field, tennis)

  • May resume competitions

Medium-risk sports (which include hockey, soccer, basketball, baseball/softball)

  • May resume non-contact drills & practices

High-risk sports (which include karate, taekwondo, wrestling, football, group dance, group cheer)

  • May resume non-contact drills & practices

Competition for medium-risk sports is anticipated to resume on 7/6/2020.

Full practices and competitions for high-risk sports is anticipated to resume on 7/20/2020.

Tot lots and bathroom facilities will remain closed in all parks until further notice.

Any organization planning to use Township facilities (including fields, courts, rinks, etc.) must remain in compliance with Executive Order No. 149 and the guidance provided by the NJ Department of Health..  According to the Executive Order, it is the responsibility of the organization to ensure compliance with Department of Health and CDC guidelines.  If there are violations/complaints observed, the municipality will step in for enforcement purposes.
