Mayor Update 2020

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As the new year begin, our focus has turned to the 2020 Budget. I have started to meet with department heads, along with the Township Administrator, to review the departmental requests. Once, that process is complete we will prepare the budget to present to Council for their review.

This past fall/winter we completed the repaving of Diane Avenue, Patricia Avenue and Wills Street.  We are continuing to work on repaving Norman Avenue and Lake Street.  Due to the County trail project, the repaving of River Road will not be completed until spring.

At the work session on January 14, 2020 we began discussing the roads to include in the 2020 Program.  We have also received an additional NJDOT grant for the repaving of Conrow Road and are hopeful that we can repave the entire roadway as part of the 2020 Road Program.

Shortly, we will hold another meeting of the Coastal Coalition to discuss the issues reported from the many riverfront towns with regards to flooding.  I will continue to report on the progress of the meetings.

We are looking forward to all the great events that will be sponsored this year by the Recreation Advisory Committee. Events will include the Egg Hunt, Trunk or Treat, Veterans Day Commemoration, National Night Out and the Annual Tree lightning.  Please keep checking out website or Facebook page for details.
