The overall taxes went down! For the average assessed home at $233,000 the savings are $4.66. Mayor and Council cannot promise no layoffs, no furloughs, no deferment of pensions, no reduction of services and an overall tax reduction every year. We are happy we can this year. What is the deal with the grass on the jughandles in Delran? The State has ended the "Adopt a Jughandle" Program and will no longer allow towns to post a landscaper's sign in exchange for maintaining the jughandle. Mayor and Council are working with the State DOT and are having John Martino's Landscaping, Jay's Landscaping, Hunter's Glen Apartments and Tenby Chase Apartments maintain the jughandles in exchange for ads placed on this website. The ads will be added soon.
