Stormwater Regulations

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Delran has become part of New Jersey’s initiative to keep our water clean and plentiful to meet federal requirements.

As a resident, business, or other member of the Delran Community, it is important to know that there are easy things you can do everyday to protect our water.  Any pollution on our streets, parking lots and lawns are washed by rain into our storm drains and then goes directly to our drinking water supplies, the ocean, and lakes where our children play.  The use of fertilizer, oil, pesticides, detergents, pet waste, grass clippings all end up in our water. If we can keep these common pollutants out of our stormwater, it will save us high costs of cleaning up when our water becomes polluted.

Please visit our township ordinances site where it concerns Stormwater Management in Chapter 303. Breaking these rules can result in fines or other penalties.   If you can remember these few simple solutions it will help to keep our water clean.
